Before a True Link Visa Card can be used it must first be activated. Cards can be activated either through our automated phone system, from our website, or by speaking with a member of our team. Below is more information about each of the three options that are available to you.
Automated phone system
You can activate your Card through our automated system by completing the following steps below:
- Call our cardholder support line at 1-800-299-7646.
- Press 2 to activate your Card
- Enter the last four digits of your Card number.
- Enter the year that you were born.
- Enter your full 9-digit social security number
- If we are able to successfully verify your identity based on the information provided, your card will then be activated.
On our website
You can activate your True Link Visa Card online by following the steps below:
- Open this link that will take you to our activation page.
- You will be asked to enter the following information:
- Your first and last name
- Your home address
- Your full 9-digit social security number
- Your year of birth
- The last four digits of your Card
- Once entered, you’ll be asked to agree to the terms and conditions of your Card.
- After entering the information requested, click “Activate your card”, and if we’re able to successfully verify your identity your Card will be activated.
Speaking with a live agent
We understand that some customers may prefer to speak with a member of our team to activate their card. To do this, please call 1-800-299-7646 and press 9 to be connected with our Cardholder Support Team. Our team is available Monday through Friday between 6 am and 5 pm PST / 9 am and 8 pm EST.
What if I was unable to activate my card after providing the requested information?
In rare cases, we may not be able to automatically verify your identity using only the information that you’ve provided. If this happens, you’ll be prompted to speak with our Cardholder Support Team so we can share the next steps.
